C2 Ausco Type III Jack and Wheel Wrench
Looking for a C2 Ausco Type III (1965-1967) non-dated jack and wheel wrench. They started dating the jacks January of 1967. I’ll buy either the jack, wrench, or both. The correct wrench should have three .25” holes in the handle.
Shipping to Tucson, AZ.
Here is a picture of what it should look like.

no date
it has been blasted and repainted
bottom is not pitted but scratches of paint off from shelf wear
top is not pitted but has a couple of octagon imbedment, probably from jacking up on a head bolt
you can fill it in if you do a full restoration
Jack handle as is with the oval slots
and does slide in the jack
thanks

To further support this statement both RH and Ausco made Jacks for Mustang.
Take a look at a 65 Mustangs, Ausco Jack and a 65 Mustangs Ryerson & Haynes (RH) Jack in the picture below.

67 early jack
Cross hatch on the rivets is not correct for Ausco. Cross hatch was only used by RH on the corvair jacks. Ausco also made Jacks for Corvairs and none of those have the cross-hatch or + peening.I am writing a paper to NCRS in this regard.

My 66 which I have owned from 1986 and bought from the 1st owner came to me with its original jack. Rivets on it look exactly like the ones grantstigers jack has pictured above.

Correct Cross-Hatched Rivets in 1967 Corvettes
Corvette Members,
After extensive research on over 100 - 1967 Corvette Jacks we learned, every jack starting with 1967 production, GM made a change to replace four rivets so add stability. The change on Corvette Jacks started in 1967 production, and then the Jacks began to be dated in January 1967, and continued every month afterward. The change to the cross-hatched rivets on Corvette Jacks was 2 cross-hatched rivets on one side if the Jack Base Plate, and 2 of the same cross-hatched rivets on the other side of the Jack Saddle. It appears change was made it eliminate to eliminate the possibility that the smaller rivets could come apart and cause the Jack to fail.
Therefore, it appears that every Corvette Jack with the cross-hatched rivets, Dated or Non-Dated were made starting with 1967 production run. So if you have a Non-Dated Corvette Jack with these cross-hatched, we are given to assume it also for a 1967 Corvette.
These same changes can also be found during the same time-frame on Mustang Jacks, in the same manner, and going forward.
If anyone has proof to the contrary, please share documentation to support your claim.
See CORRECT EXAMPLES shown by CTMAN42 on him on the 3 - bottom slides. See by member CTMAN42
Thanks,
Harry Ledgerwood
