WANTED: parts to put '57 drag car back on the street
I'm still looking for the following parts:
'56 - '58 hard top
both front fenderwell fiberglass panels
front bumpers / bumperettes (no deep rust pits, please)
passenger door
red interior door panels
right quarter panel fiberglass up to front door jamb
headlight buckets with chrome bezels
assembly line hood (small scoop and hood pin set-up okay)
wood spare cover
My last request for parts helped me find a front suspension w/steering, seat cushions, a windshield frame, and rear horizontal bumpers. Thanks to those who sent photos and prices. I really appreciate it.

Hi Rich. Thanks for asking.
If I sent you photos of this thing, you'd be shocked. It sat outside and was parted out for 30 - 40 years after a serious front end collision that bent the frame badly. So yeah, I need pretty much every piece that could have been removed from the fiberglass body tub.
I'm trying to buy parts in gradual steps. Right now I'd certainly consider a stock clock and tach though. This won't be a show car, so I'm not looking for restored parts.

I think I have an original tach but need to check. I'll give you a call over the weekend and let you know what I turned up. Rich

Used red carpet?
I have this from my 57. It is circa the 80s resto so most likely not OEM. It has faded some on the tunnel portion but previous owner had mats for the floors so they are in good shape. No rips or tears and still has the backing with it.
Free if you want it; just pay USPS box shipping. Let me know if you want pics.
I may have the seat covers available as well but still not sure on replacing those yet...

While free is certainly good, I'd also like to buy something from you. A while back you thought you had some tail lights and were going to send me photos. Did you ever find them?

The cowl vent mechanism is one of the few parts I did get with the car. It may be rusted in place though. This car spent decades sitting outside in the humid South. I'll take a look at it today.
