Passenger side door originally off of a 63 Corvette convertible. Correct for 64 Corvette convertible up until late production when some minor changes were introduced. Will fit 65-67 Corvette Convertible and look right from the outside but would require modification inside to work with 65-67 door panels and hardware arrangement.
The Good: The inner structure is in excellent shape. All hinge bolt bosses have good threads. All threaded bosses are there and in good shape. There is nothing about the inner structure that requires any attention other than prepping for paint.
The Bad: At some point in its life, this door was damaged in the middle rear area and through where the handle & lock mount, and the repairs were completely butchered. The pad-up areas that should be there for a 63 through early 64 door are gone, and the belt-line at the rear of the door dives in and won't match up with the rear quarter without some work to build that area back up with fiberglass.
For my project, I want a stock appearance with the handle & lock, and I decided that it wasn't worth my time to do what's necessary to make this door look right again; so I just bought another door and swapped them. If you have more time or enjoy fiddling with things more than I do, this might be a good door for you. I think it would be best for someone doing a custom who wants to shave the handles & locks. You would be re-working this whole area anyway; so here's your chance to pick up a sacrificial door at a discount.
Looking for $250 for the door with the latch that's currently installed. The latch could use some clean-up and lubrication, but it's a good working latch that goes for ~$100 for a new reproduction. I'll drop the price to $200 for the door without the latch. I also have an extra window regulator (manual) ($75), rear window track ($35), and inner lock bell-crank mechanism ($20) that I will include for more money. Just make me an offer describing what you want or don't want at an appropriate price.
