This came out of a 1966 Corvette Chassis I purchased recently. I was planning on selling it as an entire running engine until i pulled the cam to look at the part number and discovered that 3 of the lifters and subsequently 3 of the cam lobes were worn to a point where I did not feel comfortable advertising the engine as in good running condition any longer. The engine did not smoke at all and it sounded great, oddly, so I was very surprised to see the cam lobes worn.
Engine is a 1973 Corvette 4 bolt main.
Bored .030 over with +6cc cast pistons
Cast 350 crank, I believe...see part number
High volume oil pump
Cylinder bores are worn slightly, but hatch markings are still very present
Dates on parts indicate it was rebuilt in 2008. Previous owner purchased car in 2010. He says engine ran very strong and was surprised that i found the cam was worn. The engine had an isky 292 cam. Ill include it if you want, but it should be tossed into the recycling bin! In my opinion, it was way too big for this engine without a higher compression ratio, and better pistons. These pistons will yield around a 9.7:1 compression ratio with a 64cc cylinder head and .039 compressed thickness/4.1 bore or higher head gaskets
