1965 396-425HP block casting number 3855962 dated D-2-5 with front pad stamped T0527IF 5119689. The block was cleaned and magged and will stay standard bore. 6223 steel crankshaft with new clevitte bearings, dimple rods and 8 inch timing cover $5000. Can ship if you cannot pick up and this is 1 of 2157 built in 1965 only.

I have picked up a set of 3856208 heads stock cleaned and magged both dated C-26-5 for $2500. These heads date nice to this motor.

Can anyone with a truly original 396 motored 1965 Corvette, tell me what is on the top right rear of the block where the bellhousing bolts to the block,on the block ? The casting number is on the left side.
