Even though there cant be that many NOS 435 lids, ALL NCRS does is pull it for the silk screen, and to date the carbs. Im not going to beat up the price, and I bet its a nice piece is all im saying...

Well thanks nowhere man. Ncrs isnt Jesus Christ either. There are those that go above and beyond what ncrs may require. There is nothing like an NOS item. It is truly back to day one.

NCRS may not be but the person willing to pay your price for the item is trying to get more points. bottom line. good luck on your sale

That is tough as nails.. I was hoping you would put up pics.. It is a nice piece, just too rich for my blood. On a side note, there looks to be a small dent in it in the second pic that I cant see in the first.. NOT saying there is, just pics can and cant do it justice ya know? J/W if its there or just in the pic..
Thanks

Hello Mr. ss396. I have owned numerous GM nos air cleaners of all varieties and dont believe any were perfect due to their long lives and some I believe were not perfect from day one. I would say this particular air cleaner would rank in the top 5 most sought after air cleaners that were ever made by GM in the musclecar big block high horsepower era. Some would probably rank it number 1. With that said this particular air cleaner is the closest i have ever had to perfect in relation to flash chrome quality, craftmanship of the metal and overall nos condition. That particular place you were referring to is a minor minor minor light ding. It was hard for me to see holding it under the lighting in my house sighting down it. But it does exist. Most nos air cleaners in normal nos condition i would usually rank 99.5 out of 100. This air cleaner is absolutely positively 99.99999. In other words if you were to go back to 1967 and go to chevy dealership to purchase this air cleaner i guarantee you more than likely when it came in it would not be as good as this one. You probably would have to send back two or three before you got one in that was of this quality. Ok that would be in 1967. So what does that say about the rarity of this item's quality in 2012 not even mentioning the true rarity of the part itself as GM NOS which is a whole other topic in itself. Thanks for your interest.

I retract my second post on this thread.. That sucker is NICE... NO problems about the dent, I could care less ya know.. You hit it right on the head.. I do believe I thought you only had the lid, when you started this thread and not the whole AC.. Thats why I said what I said in the second post.. I hope you sell it, all I need is a lid, ive got everything else for my tripower car.. Even though its a clone, Id rather this go to a deserving car.. I am sorry once again. GLWTS..
