Default Restored 62 Corvette Jack for sale

I bought this from a forum member a few months ago for my 62. I have since found another so don't need this one. It is absolutely perfect. It is an original and these very hard to find. I found three that have sold on Ebay in the last few months that have sold between 1575 and 2100 dollars. $1550.00 plus shipping. Price is firm. E-mail sasobvo@gmail.com for more pics.

Are you serious ? People actually pay 1500 for a 62 jack ? I have one in my parts box I forgot to include when I sold the car. I must put an armed guard on it soon. Almost like winning a lottery.

One year only and very hard to find. One on ebay now for 1500 and before I listed mine I found 3 that had sold for between 1500 and 2100.
I found another one after I bought this one that I was able to restore myself so don't need two and I paid exactly what I am asking for this one! Hire that armed guard.

I was looking for a part for the 66 and located my 62 jack. I thought with my luck it was an after market or replacement. Sure enough... bone stock original 62 jack. I had skuffed the surface and put on a coat of primer on it. Doesn't even look used. Thanks for your post. Now I have to tag it so it doesn't become a five dollar rummage sale item.

How can you tell an original?

Looks exactly like the one in the picture down to the four small holes at the bottom of the base.

Also;
The base is welded on
Coarse thread rod
Square nut welded to a U shape bracket on the end
A Stamped on the base

Apparently a one year only run. This came out of a 62 I had many years ago that was stored for most of its life. It was complete down to the shielding, no modifications noticed.
Hope this helps answer your question.

jrs427 has it nailed. Those 4 marks in the base are key as I was told from the member here whom I bought this one from, as is the stamped "A".
