**1965 396/425 HP MOTOR**

Hello guys,
I'm new to the forum, forgive me if I am listing this in the wrong section. I have a 1965 396/425 HP motor for sale.
-- The suffix is stamped IF.
-- April 24, 1965.
-- 962 Casting Number
-- Standard Bore
-- 4 Bolt Main
I also have the original connecting rods, pistons, winters intake, and 208 heads that go with the motor.
Also have original water pump, crank, and oil pan for this motor.

Welcome to the Corvette Forum - I just looked up that VIN number, 19972, and didn't see it listed in the C2Registry but the Vette could still be out there. You're probably not aware of this but when posting items for sale, they do require you put a price on it. Also, it would probably help if you put your location.

I have an original pair of 1965 3856208 Cylinder Heads. These heads were used on 1965 L78 Corvette's as well as 1965 Z16 Chevelles. Dated F-1-5 (June 1, 1965) and F-24-5 (June 24, 1965). Very rare set of big block heads! These are early take off cores. I have not had them checked by a machine shop but they look like good cores (needing rebuilds). It does not look like they have been milled (tabs have plenty of meat). No known cracks, welds or repairs. $2500 best offer, cash or Paypal F/F. Happy to ship anywhere.

I have a 396 hood and matching front clip
396 aluminum radiator but it leaks.
might still have the radiator support, haven't seen it for a decade though.

I have a pair of original 1965 only high performance 396 Holley fuel bowls. These were only used in 1965 and only on the L78 396/425HP and Z16 Chevelle 396/375HP engines. Most were corroded, stripped, or otherwise damaged long ago and replaced with the later large inlet bowls. These original small inlet bowls have become very hard to find at any price.


I posted these bowls on eBay in separate auctions with each starting at $9.99 with NO RESERVE.
