I had originally thought about a 67 B/B hood for my 65, but then I fIgured it might be better to at least stay with a hood correct for the year. But then again I am just running a S/B so it"s not correct anyway, the whole thing is very confusing.

I hear you man, I have a BB 65 hood on my car it is blue fit is excellent. You would just need to repaint it. OFFER STILL HERE..

I have an extra 66 BB hood but the braces are loose from the skin and it is rather flimsy. I'm just going to use it for wall art in the shop. I guess it could be glassed back but I wouldn't trust it.

Heck just drill holes in it and use hood pins .... bubba would!

1966 big block hood has the holes for the hood emblem and the 1965 big block hood does not have the emblem holes

the 65 bb hood does not have the cut outs under the hood for emblem installation ..66 does have cut outs on the dr side front corner for the corvette emblem. the hood prop is still on the pass side..i am not a corvette guru, but this is just what i have found for my self...i was missing my bb hood for my l78 65, someone in the past swapped it out for 67 bb hood.and all i could find was a 66....i hope this helps

this is an old thread so Mac likely got a hood, but that is a good price, I paid $1100. for a used one, i like the "power bulge" profile much better than the stinger hood

yes, the above car is an original '66, note that the BB hood prop is on the driver's side but the '65 is on the passenger side
