Default 58to62 WINDSHIELD POST

Looking to buy a decent pair of windshield posts. Would prefer a set with the tabs intact.

Default I have a set from a 60

They have the original tabs intact. Pass side is a great core and Dvr side has some pitting but can be plated by the right platers who deal with pot metal parts.

I bought cores and had them replated while these were on the car so I could still drive it. Now my car is stripped so these are not needed.

If interested, PM me.

I think the 58's are like the 56/57. They are notched differently at the top for the weatherstripping.

Visor vs non-visor posts are different.

I bought a set from a vendor who always has a stack of pricey C1 items at Carlisle. No business name, sorry. Very nice guy, beautiful parts... repaired and rechromed. I think they were about $650.

Bought a nice set of correct inserts for them at Carlisle, too. It was all the vendor had, he made them.

He's looking for windshield posts. Other than the holes for visors that were standard in 1960, the 56-62 are all the same.

As for door posts, you are correct!

Newer 59-62 ones are on the left where the weatherstrip wraps around the top whereas on the older 56-58 ones on the right there are two separate weatherstrips for each side.

Visors were an option in 1960.
