Default Any interest in a '65 motor/tranny package deal?

I thought I'd throw this out here to see if anyone is interested. I bought a '65 convertible to build as a restomod. The car came with lots of original drivetrain components, including: bellhousing, Muncie 4-speed transmission, intake and exhaust manifolds, alternator, air cleaner, power steering, distributor, pulleys, alt. and P/S brackets, valve covers, radiator shroud and mountings, stainless manifols shields and ignition sheilds, etc. Carb is not original. The original carb came with the car, but like a dumbass I tossed it. The block and heads are NOT original. I repeat, the block and heads are NOT original. (Don't want to mislead anyone.)

Motor specs are:Chevy 350 engine, long block. 4-bolt mains, pocket ported Dart II (cast iron) heads, forged pistons, custom ground hydraulic roller cam, professionally built by Engine Dynamics in San Jose. Motor was built in 1996, and has had less than 6,000 miles on it since. The previous owner drove the car for about 3 years after the motor was built, and then parked the car until he sold it to me about 5 months ago. The cam in the motor is fairly mild (278˚ .465 lift at intake, 275˚ .475” exhaust, 110˚ lobe separation), so it idles smoothly, revs nicely up to about 5,500-6,000 RPM’s, and can run fine on regular. Receipts for about $2,000 in parts, and about another $2,000 in labor. Does not burn, or leak any oil. I would estimate the HP to be about 330-350. Motor is still in car and you’re welcome to come listen to it, look it over, and ride in the car with me before I pull the motor. I'll be happy to put the car up on my lift and let you look at any and all part numbers, casting marks, etc.
If no one on this forum is interested, I'll sell the long block separately on Craig's list, then sell components here later. But this would be simpler and faster for me. I'm in San Jose, Ca. and don't want to ship. Besides, I only want to sell to someone who looks everything over and is comfortable with this deal.
Thanks,
Rick

I have a '66 vert, 327 powerglide that I would love to convert to a 4spd. Would you consider selling all of the 4spd related items? trans, bellhousing, linkage, pedals, etc? I am across the country in NJ so you would have to ship? Let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
At this point I'm planning to re-use the pedals and z-bar linkage. If nobody takes the package deal, and I part things out I can give you first shot at the transmission and bell housing. I need a new clutch, flywheel and pressure plate so I could sell the old ones too. I'm planning to let the ad run on the forum for a few days, then I'll post the long block locally, so it'd be a week or two before I can start thinking about parting out.

Also, I got a PM clarifying if the block is a '65. According to the previous owner it is a '70 block. I just looked at the casting mark and the number is 3970010. If anyone can decode that I'd appreciate it.

I just did a search on te casting number and it showed as "69-80 350 2 or 4 bolt main". The receipts specify it as a 4 bolt block.
Thanks.
