1965 461 Fuelie Heads (Bare) $600 OBO
I have a set of 1965 Double Hump 461 heads with the 2.02 intake valves.
Date code comes back as May 13th and May 14th 1965.
These are the numbers:
782461
GM 7 E135
GM 8 E145
I didn't magnaflux but used dye penetrant and no cracks visible.
Asking $600 OBO shipping not included.
I will ship, but this is cast iron so it's about $1/lbs, heads weigh 50lbs each.
I'm in 34104 SW Florida
Thanks,

No way to verify so you'll have to take my word for it; these heads came from a running engine in late '09 and have been in storage since.
Only thing wrong with them; when I took them apart the valve seals were either non existent or they crumbled in my hands.
Valves are available for free but pretty gunked up.
Hence the previous owner having the engine removed and that's how I got my hands on it.
Any questions, feel free to ask...........shipping is pretty much $1/lbs and these cast iron heads are about 50lbs a piece.
For now these are still original unmolested unported heads.

Just a question for corvette history. A friend and I keep track of original 65 FI cars. Did the heads come off the original engine block? If they did is there a way I could find the vin# of the block. We have found 551 of the original 771. What happened to the original FI and air cleaner? Did the heads come from the original car, what happeded to the car.?
Thanks for any possible help. Harry Hood 574-361-5672

I'd like to help you but I will not be of much use.
The '65 heads were bolted to a '72 block and run in a '67 if I'm not mistaken.
This was the second engine for the car and already installed when the current owner bought the car.
He had it pulled in favor of an Ebay motor and that's how I ended up with it.
I would like it to have been the missing heads hand cast by Duntov himself but alas, not the case....
