I think these are the new repo's from Corvette Specialties of Maryland. Haven't seen any myself, but they sure sound nice. I have an original 67 N14 equipped car and will need to find some nice repo's in the future. All the NOS ones I have seen are from old stock and all seem to have some kind of blemished areas. If you buy some please let us know about the quality, fit and finish.

That's way too much; you should sell them to me for, say,....$20?

Default covers

If I sold them 2 U shipping would be cost prohibited . 20.00 would be a fair price.

Hi,
I have just installed a set of the new repos . The finish was very, very nice. Easily discernable from the GM repos that have the "tooling marks", these have none. They do seem a little "softer" in the type of material used, Each side had a couple of the strips between the painted slots slightly pushed in, out of the box, makes me think they are more delicate. Big difference I did see was in the fiberglass liners, they are there but are less than 1/2 the thickness of originals, you can actually see light thru them. Time will tell how they hold up to heat/age. All in all they fit well, look good, He saved about $200 on these compared to the GM licensed ones.

Default side pipes

Remove them then a little polishing will make the originals look new again.A good aluminum polish is the key. Then after they are polished.Tape off the polished area and the painted area can be repainted with heat resistant silver.

George, those are the ones I was telling you about. When I asked you if the covers were polished and painted you told me they were polished and brushed, yet others are now saying they are painted.

I asked because if they were painted I would have considered cleaning them up polishing the raised portions and painting the insets.

So what is it? If they are brushed, I have no way to duplicate that, but if they are painted it's not that big of a deal.
