Default WTB Late 1960 Trunk Mat

I'm looking for a trunk mat for a late 1960 without a power top. Anybody know who makes or may stock them. Looking for NOS or original if possible. I will take a high quality repro.

Thanks for the help.

What color are you looking for?

Where are you located?

My 1960 is #8061 (Approximately May 27, 1960)

I found mine a few years ago.

Hi Scott,

Wow, that is neat! So your car followed mine down the assembly line!
My 1960 corvette is Ermine white (solid, no different cove color) with the frost blue interior. It is currently undergoing a complete restoration with hopes of finishing it in the next year or so. There is an NCRS meet close to me (Denver) in May of 2008 that I would sure like to take it to.
I got my trunk mat from Joe Calcagno in California. He is really knowledgable on the 53-62 corvettes and has written several articles over the years for the NCRS Restorer magazine.
I too was very concerned about finding a trunk mat for my corvette beings as how it had the uncommon blue interior and was a late year corvette with the different trunk mat.
I have talked with Romeo, the producer of reproduction trunk mats and at the time, they had no plans to make the late year mat for 1960.
I will look to see if I can find Joe's phone number!

Thanks Greg I will give him a call and see if he can help me find one. I can't count on both hands the number of times that I have been laughed at by suppliers when I ask them if they have one. I had one guy tell me that he has been looking for one for 15 years. I hope that your NCRS restoration is going well. I would love to hear about your progress since our cars are almost kin. Mine was pretty much original until an engine fire last year when I decided that since I had to repaint it I might as well restore it. As for Al Knoch, I check with them and they said they don't have the late '60 w/o power top trunk mat.

Hey Scott,

I looked on the Al Knoch website yesterday and saw that they said "call for availability". I kind of figured that they may not have them.
My corvette also suffered from an engine fire in 1973. It had been stored after the fire until I bought it in 1999. Most of it's original componants were still in place, but the f.i. was damaged, mostly on the fuel side.
I would also like to compare notes with you about our restorations since they are "like sisters". I will list my email below if you want to take this off the forum and email directly.

Gents...

Dad and I were talking over Turkey and he indicated that he is looking for a trunk mat for his late '60 as well and had a hard time finding - he called Al Knoch and they indicated that they did not have...

Will pass along the information...Dad's '60 is #9668. Horizon Blue w/ Black Interior...

Thanks.
