Since the 63 Split Window first came out, I liked the look of the fastback roof line.

I think the coupe is a meaner looking car, but since I can only own 1 mid year I went with a vert.

I have both. Coupe has fantastic lines, convert is more fun. Convert is driven 10 to 1 to the coupe, but as for styling, coupe hands down. Dennis

I wish that I could afford both but I opted for a coupe. Something about the look as others have noted.

A coupe is too much like a car.
A convertible is a CORVETTE.

Got both, one for the wife and one for me. Coupe is mine and it is awesome although her roadster drives a lot better IE: suspension. My coupe has a fiberglass rear spring and I think I will change it back to the original steel spring but that is another post for another time.

All the best in the New Year to everybody

There is nothing like a convertable on a summer night with the top down.

I love them both but the Vert has an edge...plus chicks dig em.

I am in the same boat with you. I have both a coupe and convertible as well. The coupe is an early production 66 with a 427ci 450hp also equipped with 4:11 gears. A rocket is an understatement. That’s my car! On the other hand, my convertible is a last week of production 66. It has the 327ci 350hp with 3:36 gears. That’s my wife’s. Both cars are all original and in Mosport-Green with Black interior.

Default Chose a coupe

Bought it new. Needed a car I could lock securely and be weather tight. My only car for many years. Needed the extra room inside. Looks great. Would have a roadster too in a heartbeat. More fun. You can see and hear so much more from an open car. Hardtop is really classy. If it was just for play, I'd take the open car.

I've owned both, but liked the looks of the coupe since the day it was released, and as a result I've had my coupe for 36 years.

It's been "air in my hair convert" for 30 years, wouldn't change. I have had two coupes, but sold them. Dennis

Default coupe

My father has a 65 396/425hp convertable. Mines a 65 369/425hp coupe. To me it just depends on the weather
