Default Strut rod replacement

OK , so what's the most efficient way to remove the old strut rods? The only advice I received so far is to soak the bolts with rustbuster.

What bolts? You alking about Shock Mounts maybe. If so, The fastest an easiest method I use without fail is an air hammer. I use the air hammer wiht a large pickle fork on it, hold it up against the 90 degree angle after the shock is removed and the bolt from the backside is removed. Couple pulls of the trigger and they are out without damaging any threads. Takes about 3 seconds.

We ha a hell of a badly rusted screw within a 76 that we did some weeks ago....never had seen a broken (!) strut rod whilst driving before....

Since there was no time to wait for any rust to come off this was a WD40 and brute force event. Took us about 1,5 hours for the one thing.

I you have got some more time you may as well test coke....as this pretty much eats rust. Don`t know if it really would crawl to the inside...

Yeah, several people told me that they are "difficult". Any suggestions to make the job a bit easier?

If it seems really frozen and the sugested methodes don't go well. Use
a cut off tool on it. If you break the bracket it will cost a lot more in
parts and labor
