Default 50 Corvettes at St. Lewis

According to Ken Kayser’s book, The History of GM’s Ramjet Fuel Injection on the Chevrolet V-8 the photo above was probably taken January 15, 1957 . Fifty RPO-597C in the marshaling yard at the St. Lewis Assembly plant. The reason they were there is because they had the “new” high compression pistons installed in the engines prior to having the documentation signed off. The book is very interesting if you’re into the nuts and bolts of how the fuel injection came about.(Chapter 9 pgs. 282 &283)

I have 3 of Ken's books. The first volume has some serious wear from referring so many times to information. Plus, I have made notes and highlighted several areas.
He numbered the books. Since I have a 56 Corvette, I asked Ken if I could have book #56. He obliged.

None. Too many body waves and misaligned parts.
