Seat frame differences between 64 and 67? (want to add a headrest to 64 seat)
Hi, I am interested to add a 1967 headrest to my 1964 seat. Zip Corvette sells a conversion kit for 66-67 cars (https://www.zip-corvette.com/66-67-headrest-conversion-kit.html). However, a Zip Corvette phone representative said it would only fit on a 66-67 seat.
Does anyone know what the applicable seatback/frame differences are between a 64 and 67 that would restrict such as kit from working on a 64 seat? Any ideas for a workaround, or has anyone added a headrest to a 64 another way?

my understanding is that 64-66 seat frames are all the same.

I also think they are all the same and the Zip rep simply stated what their catalog says.

64's Rock!
I added that kit to my 64 seat frames. Worked just fine. Believe I had to weld it on though.
The problem I ran in to was that the headrest I bought had a different texture from the seats. I put leather seat covers on and for 64 it's a bumpy texture. The 67 leather headrests are smooth leather. Didn't like it and ended up going with different seats all together. If you have vinyl seats, you might be ok, but something to double check
