Default Clutch Recommendations

I'm not that knowledgeable about clutches. Need 10.5", 10 spline for my '65 SB 350hp w/muncie 4spd. There are so many choices out there. I would appreciate some recommendations for OE replacement. Will be basically a street car.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Yes, I've looked on Summit and JEGS at Centerforce and Hays units, but each clutch manufacturer has different "models" and I can't figure out the differences among them. Also, the usual Corvette parts vendors don't give info on the brands they offer. I don't want to be stuck with some China junk. Any specific Centerforce or Hays model #s would be helpful if you have them that would be best for street use with an L79.

I used LUK for my '67 L-79. It is similar to OE. ONE change, use a different Throw out bearing... the one in the kit is partially plastic.

Yes, thanks I forgot to mention that and I stupidly didn't know it was an issue before installing. I don't think the plastic is the issue....it's the depth/length of the bearing and the adjustment is limited. So when it's a problem, I'll pull it again...ugh.

This one is the one that I would highly recommend. It is great for L79. I've put 3 on my 67 with new flywheels after linkage failures or nuts coming off the Z bar, etc. and burning up the clutch and flywheel. Never the clutch's fault but losing freeplay taking them out. Read Lars thread on C2 and C3 Corvette clutch issues and McCLeod is the winner. USA made and comes with the metal throw out bearing. Very short release so it works best with the short release of C2 and C3 Corvettes.

I used a Luk from rockauto and a different throw out bearing that was all metal , works perfect and hard to beat the price.

I went through this several years ago. I followed Lar's procedure and recommendation. McLeod is the best choice for these for C2 Corvettes with its limited clutch pedal travel.

Full organic is a great choice for the street and can't see spending more than Luk.
