A friend sent me an intake and a few magazines...this picture is just killer!

Forum member Blown62 used to have a blown car...... his current Retirement Project does not have one..... yet.....
From the time when I was a kid, and my Dad started taking me out to the drag races, I have thought blowers were cool...... back then, I had no idea what they did, but they looked cool, sticking up out of the engine bay, with the big belt drive, and the whining sound...... The Funny Cars and Dragster had them, and I was hooked...... when I got into racing, I joined a team that ran a Top Alcohol Funny Car, and we ran a roots style blower, a 14/71, and guys started twisting the rotors more, and the High Helix 14/71 was the go to...... When I started racing with another team, in Top Alcohol Dragster, PSI came out with a screw blower, much more efficient than the roots, less power to turn, more boost, and less heating of the air, and the ET's dropped and the speeds picked up....... with the overdrive, we were spinning the blower 2.15 times crank RPM which when we were shifting at 10,400 rpm, the blower was spinning over 22,000 rpm, making 65 pounds of boost.....
If there is a blown car at a show, I am going to check it out......
As they say.... 'Injection is nice.... but. I would rather be Blown!!!'....
