Im toying with the idea of putting wire wheels on my 57 C1 Fuelie. Obviously, its not stock however I do like the look over the steel wheels and spinner hubcaps. Coker Tire sells a Dayton wire wheel in the 15X5 wheel size. Im interested in others thoughts. This is the car currently. Thanks in advance.
I have the same idea. I bought a vintage set of wire knock-off wheels I think look like the ones in the first episode of the TV show "Route 66" on the 1960 they used.
They have 66 spokes. I'll need to get them rechromed. It will be a while to try them out though. The car has a long way to go.

I hope this is what you meant by "other thoughts". Since it's a fuelie I think this look works well.
Or this as it can be used to bring either main body color or the cove color to the wheels.
With the Help of some great Forum Members.....These A.R.E. Magnesium's will be mounted on my 67 Coupe just after the start of April! Nothing better than a nice pair of Shoes!

I have TrueSpoke wire wheels on my 62 and really like them. You have to use spacers which has not been a problem.
