Default Header Installation on 327 in 1960 Vette

I have a nice set of hooker stainless headers for my '60 with a 327. I removed the stock ones, and am getting ready to install the headers, but it appears I may have to remove the engine to do so. Is there a way to wiggle them in, do I have to remove eveyrthing around it or do I need to remove engine to install?

Headers are usually installed from below. Are you trying to install them from above?

Beware. There are people selling headers that are listed to fit C1 but are really for C2 and aren’t exactly the same. Check them out closely.

you might not have to remove the engine completely. just lift it a little to allow some more room
