1962 vs 1958 fuel neck differences
At the Melbourne, Florida NCRS meet I bought the attached 1958 fuel neck for $20. In researching it appears that 1961/1962 are different. For a non NCRS judged car what is the difference and can I use this 1958 fuel neck with no modifications to my friends 1962? Thanks Eric

I'm pretty sure you need to use a 61-62 filler neck, in a 62 body.
The 56-60 filler neck has a sharper bend to it, the 61-62 neck is much straighter (and might be a little longer too?). The gas door and fiberglass inner housing where the neck comes through is different in the 56-60 body too. You might be able to bend the early filler neck, but it will be hard to do without kinking it.

I may have a used neck that I would give up for postage only if it would be of any help. I think it is for 61/62 but not positive. Could send pic. Got to dig it out of my stash. Let me know.
