Default 1963 Borg Warner T10 Date Stamp Decoding

WB1131 is?
W - Warner Gear
B - February
11 - Day of month
31 - wha...

It's a T10D-1

The cast date code looks like an "F" over stamping an "A" or other way around
"F(or A) 21 63" with a "B" above the 21

Given the B = Feb, must be an "A" but that's as far as I can get.

Can anyone decipher?

Thanks
Tom

Others will chime in but try,

February, 11th, 1963 first shift.

My first reaction is that it came from a passenger car.

So was that a decimal point that seems to be there? (Didn't clean enough to be certain)

WB113.1 ?

Not sure if from Corvette, the other number I'm guessing is from the VIN number? Or is it a serial number that would be stated on the build sheet?
It is a T10D-1
It does have the small main drive bearing and bell housing retainer hole.

Regarding the A or F: I have a pic where it looks like an F depending on how the light is shining on it.

There was no decimal point in a Gang Stamp.

A good assumption. There were 1.55M 1957 Chevrolet passenger cars built and 6,300+ Corvettes. Corvette production represented about one-half percent of all Chevrolets produced. What are the odds?

If the trans was originally from a Corvette the partial VIN would be stamped on the same flat section as the date assembly. This partial VIN stamping on Corvettes started in the 62 model year.

The picture I posted shows another # upside down above the date stamp.
Assuming it is a partial VIN, then that would make sense since the cast date code is a 1963.
Again, how do you decode WB1131? B=Feb, 11th day, 3=1963, and 1? Did they actually stamp the shift? The examples I've found online have only 3 digits after the Month letter.

My 62 has the original T-10 that was installed in St Louis. The date is stamped WA2623 which translates to Warner Gear Jan 26, 1962 3rd shift. My 62 has a DOB on Feb 7, 1962.The partial VIN is stamped 2106590.

The upside down number starting with a B is the partial vin of a full size Chevy built in the Baltimore, MD plant.

With the WA2623 engine in a "3", did you mean "3rd shift?"
