Car thieves should be treated like horse thieves in the old west. After a fair trial, find the nearest sour apple tree and a rope.

Well, whoever stole it probably won’t be out cruising the town in it. Stands out like a neon sign. Hope they get a lead on the bastards before they try to get it out of the country or start stripping it.

Sorry for your buddies loss. Details on the theft? Would be good to know for the rest of us. We might avoid a similar fate

6 vehicles taken plus trailers. A beige 63 split window also taken. All in a secure building. Organized crew. Probably not much could have been done to prevent it.

Should post the serial numbers of the cars. If they are parted out, some of the larger items would be identifiable...

Make it fair, make it quick, but also make it in public. Possibly detour other thieves from stealing other cars.

Unfortunately, I've been there. Don't give up hope just saturate everything you can think of. Auction sites, radio networks, television if possible. Clubs, computers and any media outlet you can think of. Facebook,Tic Tok, Google etc....Local Police, State Police, Fish & Game etc...

These azz hats need to have their yalls cut off! Then hang them a few days later...

I hate to see this but the fact is, Car theft and Car Damage does not even gather attention from the Police today. We had 7 cars broken into and a BMW stolen all within a block of my home 2 months ago, they broke the window out of my Mercedes. My neighbor had left her purse in her car and they stole it and started using her credit cards within one hour. The Police did nothing, came and told us they were sorry. No finger prints taken, no search, I don't know if they even followed up at the stores where her credit card was used.
I guess to get their attention today you have to go slap the Mayor. But, we have a Police Swat Team, all special trained and they have a Swat Vehicle provided by the Army. A planned out theft like the one you posted about was probably shipped overseas very quickly unfortunately.
All theft has to be prosecuted or we are just breeding criminals that will steal more and more later.

Here in Youngstown Ohio over Halloween a new 10 mil.$$ Dodge dealership was burglarized, they were pro's, seen on the video. In/out with 5 new ones. Hellcats and pick ups, not the cheap ones. Just drove away and vanished!!! If the apple is big the pros will come for it! Here is some good info.....Thieves dill a small hole at the top center of your garage door, slide a snake like tool into the garage and hook onto the door track release of the door opener and in they come with little or no evidence of the break in!!! I removed the hanging release and made a cover for the latch.....(-: Good home security real time video too. Mine alerts my cell instantly of intruders on my property picked up by the motion cameras. I see amazon before the driver gets out! I am a defensive driver and defensive homeowner, don't be a victim, snooze you lose. Big-K

There was a YouTube video some time back showing them just sliding a long heavy wire or coat hanger in at the top of the door, no hole needed. The demonstrator had the door open in an incredibly short few moments. However, there is a simple defense - we have a sliding latch inside on the track, if that's in place the door can't go up It even has a hole near the end so you could padlock it in place. Like anything else if a pro wants to get in they will sooner or later, but simple things can at least slow down the amateurs.

Yep! That sliding bolt is good insurance. A thief would have to destroy an overhead door to gain useful access if you ad a lock to it. We do this seasonally when we are away for an extended length of time. Just make sure your opener is disabled when you do this. Ask me how I know!

A great solution to the hanging door release is to get a NOODLE (used in swimming pools) and cut to length of rope on the release. Take handle off, slide the noodle on and replace the handle. Now no wire or hook will catch the release to disable the opener.

Default Gone in 60 seconds

Definitely not much can be done about pros.
Some one obviously knew of the car grouping
and executed a plan to include the use of the victims trailers.
Again need a buyer for an order like that.
Not likely to show up on BaT.
South American cartels, UAE princes etc…
Just a thought

I don't see how that would be effective. They could simply hook the lever on the shuttle directly and open it...

Especially if designing from scratch, use a screw style opener and no window in the garage door

If they dont go thru the garage ,they go thru a window. Hard to stop a pro.
But, thats why you dont go cheap with insurance, get all the coverage you can.
It would be nice to find the vette in one piece but dont count on it. If all together it is
rideing down a road in South America or Mexico.
