Default Repo Depot

Has anyone had any dealings with an outfit called Repo Depot, they are in Nocholas N.Y.? My good friend was on the internet and for some reason was bidding on a 62. The car appears to be spectacular factory FI beige/beige car that the site says was repossessed. Anyway toward the end of the bidding they sent him a confirmation that he had won the bid. As the car is next to perfect (according to the photos) the problem is that his high bid is only $36500. I told my friend that the going rate for this car should be between $80K and $100K. If anyone has heard anything good or bad about this company, can you relay any info to me?.

Sounds like a big scam. Do some backwards picture searching to see where they stole the pictures from

The pictures on
their website are stolen from old Bring a trailer adds. Stay as far away as you can.

About 2 months ago we either discussed that site, or another just like it. I seem to remember someone saying "Wish I had seen this sooner".

Here, found it. Different name, same scam. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-dealings.html

Your friend needs to ask himself what would be the odds of a spectacular '62 fuelie being repossessed.

I would put them at as close to zero as you can get without actually being zero.

In the cases I hear about, the repo guy takes the car on behalf of the bank, or insurance company, etc. They don't get to keep the collateral for themself.

The website says Nichols, NY. I got on Google Maps and checked the address. The Google Street View shows a lot full of modular homes.

OK, I know where Nichols is. But the whole deal still seems crooked as a new rope.

Huh? What's with the hostility? I've posted several times in this thread each time saying it was no good.
