I just got a 1963, and I want to decode the engine stamp. I see conflicting data on the internet, so looking to the experts on this forum for help. Thanks!

Welcome to the Corvette Forum. Looks like a decent stamp of an early 63 340 horse L76 but others will chime in that are better at judging engine stamps.
Do post up more pics of your new 63.

Your engine stamp shows '3' for 1963, followed by 1,000 which should line up with your cars serial number. Does your serial # end with S101000 ?
F0910RE translates to Flint, September 10, RE is 340 hp.

For a better evaluation of the stamps, you need to remove the paint.

DO NOT use sandpaper, a wire brush, a Scotchbrite pad, or any other mechancal means to do so. Just use a solvent (paint thinner, acetone, carb cleaner or the equivalent) to get rid of the paint. The surface of the pad has telltale marks that can be used to authenticate it, but those will be damaged or eliminated by any mechanical stripping.

Yup, RE is 340 horse.

How about some exterior pics? What did you get? Congrats on being a new owner.

Unless you are planning an NCRS grade restoration or similar, you probably don't need to bother cleaning the paint off at this time. Gold 63 did the decode for you. Searching the web with that serial number shows that you bought a nice enough driver. I wouldn't suspect anyone faked the stamping at this point. Enjoy in good health!
