The car is owned by a friend of a very good friend of mine and the seller has recently decided to let it go. I will discuss pricing and other questions by the weekend with him and I’ll have the rest of the info. I think your estimate is about what I’m thinking too.

Clean looking car. I see it is missing the distributor shield and cover. As Vet65te pointed out the bypass hose fitting on the intake should be a 90. The water pump bypass hose fitting should also be a 90 with tower type clamps. Makes me think the water pump was replaced. The alternator regulator looks to be a replacement (hard to see). I see the third pulley which drives the smog pump, it would be nice to have the whole k19 system if possible. Excellent color and interior. Love the side exhaust. I have the same exact car in goodwood green. Pretty much the same condition, but your undercarriage is a little cleaner. I would not sell my car for under 125k. Hope that is helpful, good luck.

What's it Worth
Hello Diceal, I don't want to ramble on, but I would pass. The tach indicates that the original motor was a 327/ 350 hp.You have to decide if the car is worth it without the original motor. If the motor is false what else could be false? Nice looking car you should get it cheaper! If I am wrong please let me know I'm surprise no one else noticed it. Good luck on you purchase!

I would post pictures of the tags and pad (blur the serial # part of the pad until you own it). We can validate them, and that determines the value to a great extent. The absence of the very expensive and rare AIR parts is a demerit. But if the block and tags are original, that puts it in a separate class of 85% of big block cars out there and I wouldn't ascribe much value to the AIR pieces relative to the positives of original engine and tags.

Sounds like you are close on the decision & price. FWIW some of the best deals come about this way - friend of a friend. My buddy got a very original 66 this way about 1.5 years ago at a fair price for all parties.
Good luck and keep us posted!

That's a very early car. Stamp looks good from what I can see. JF is very uncommon, so not likely to find many photos on the internet to compare the whole sequence directly. Some more clear photos and I'm sure we could validate it here with 95% certainty, but I don't see any cause for concern.

Finally got to speak the seller, asking 185K. All the important details: All original drivetrain with 4:11 rear. No POP but Tank sticker on original tank, out of the car. Not an original side pipe car, has most of the K19 equipment. Original body panels with no damage. Seems like pretty strong ask, but we’ll see where it goes.

4.11 with a L-68 is odd and not very desirable in my book, but easily changed if you wanted greater drivabilty.
