Default John DeGregory

I have helped a friend with her 62 automatic fuel injected Vette and found John in researching some stuff she might need to do. He was super helpful on the phone and I really enjoyed chatting with him.

shortly after I asked if he would be interested in rebuilding her fuel injection setup and he said he was too busy. I just got a note from him that he got hurt and is now out of business.

I figured some of the guys/gals here might know him and might want to reach out to say hi.

Certainly one of the best in the world of Rochester FI, along with Jim Lockwood who posts regularly on this Forum. John's reputation is stellar, to say the least.

Sorry to hear of John's health issues. I have never dealt with him but have heard nothing but positive responses to his work.
Another good FI guy in the Detroit area is Shelby Jett, but he has stopped working on units other than thru Masterworks Automotive so as to cut down on his work load.
Age is catching up to us old guys.

I have tried to call John twice lately (once today) and no answer, AND, his answering machine also does not answer (it always did after 5 rings).
So, I called Jerry Bramlett to see if he had any information about John's status. He has not talked to him lately. He has also called him and no answer. John also was supposed to buy some parts from Jerry, but so far, Jerry has not had a reply from John.
So, we will wait until we hear here some new updates on John's condition.
Be well John, we are all praying for you.

Contacted john's son via FB. He said John was not doing well. Two doctors in the family are watching closely over him. Prayers headed his way!

Nursing home or rehab facility? There is a huge difference. A previous post stated he was "injured"..... if that is the case he may by in rehab...... rehab facilities are often co-located (under the same roof) as a traditional nursing home.

John is a long time NCRS member and a member of a C2 focused FB site I manage --- always reaching out to help someone with an FI issue... he is good for the hobby.... he is the hobby.... Hope he is on his feet and restoring Rochesters real soon.

The words "nursing home" were his. I'm not putting words in his mouth.

I received this update from a member in John's NCRS chapter.
Among other ailments (not specified), he is in a rehab facility, where his brother is a doctor.. He fell and broke his shoulder. No information on a prognosis.

Thoughts and prayers are out to John...as a fellow Pittsburgher, I hope that he has a speedy recovery and is back at the work bench working on Fuelie Units soon!
