64 Coupe Drive Shaft U bolts
Hey I am looking for the correct U bolts to attach the drive shaft to the rear end. My drive shaft was not installed when I purchased the vehicle. I have looked online and havent been able to find a good diagram with part numbers. Can someone send a picture of what their drive shaft to rear end connection looks like or knows which U bolts to buy. I purchased the ones above from Top Flight but their diameter appears to be too big. Thanks

Are you still looking for the U-straps? I think I might have a pair ... Do you know what the spacing is you need?

You'll want to get an Assembly Instruction Manual if you don't have one. It'll show every part. NCRS AIM Link
Vendor catalogs have some diagrams that will help as well. Start a build thread and ask questions - you'll get answers, opinions and considerations.
Pictures attract folks. Good luck

Driveshafts in C2 used 1310 joints with u-bolts. If the differential has been changed or the pinion yoke, it can be a 1330 which uses straps and bolts.
The cap shown is an inner axle cap, typically called a HD axle. That cap is sold by many, and I am going to guess they don't come with any instructions. I have seen those type of caps in hand, customers shipped me to use rebuilding their diff. They were nowhere close to correct fitment, and I suspect many have no clue about that. Too tight and it will bind the joint cap, too lose and the cap will spin and not load the bearings correctly. Fitting a cap like that should be done like fitting a differential case cap- to a certain spec. I addressed this with some of the people selling them in the past, never got a response.
