Default How did the code and ID a dual point distributor?

Recently picked up a distributor like to confirm how to read the date code and possibly ID what kind of car it came out of

The 1110985 distributor was used in 62 Corvettes with340 hp. The date code is year/month/ day. The one you have is a service replacment made on Aug 31, 1967.

interesting and thank you
i found it interesting that its a service replacement for a 62 but built 5-6 years later
I’m usually pretty good with the date codes but I couldn’t understand the spread vs the part number
