Corvettes at Carlisle 2023!
I got my packet on Saturday. Looks like the 63-67 group has about 42 spots on the fun field.
The spots will be held for the group until 9am (instead of 8:30am like last year)
Contrary to what was rumored last year, the Manufacturers midway was NOT moved, nor was anything else really.
The only change I see is an increase in "Reserved" fun field spots, at the expense of regular fun field spots (read $$$).
Weather? lol... either blistering hot or rain.. typical Carlisle. Looking forward to it, leaving 3 weeks from tomorrow!

I'm planning to bring my "work in progress" 63 for the first time this year, I registered for the 63-67 group. Of course I need to get the drivetrain back together and install the exhaust, bleed the brakes, oh clean the car... no pressure. I pulled everything out underneath except the motor this winter, ended up having the transmission rebuilt and going through everything in the rear too. I am just about done with the rear suspension, just waiting on a few parts coming in Thursday.
I've attended for probably the last 20 years but usually with a newer car, c5/c6 etc. See some of you there I'm sure. -Dan

I’ll be there but I have decided to drive my C6 Z06. I plan to park close by and hang out as usual. Let’s hope we see cooler weather than the last two years.

For me, it really doesn't matter, I'll be there well before 8:30 Thursday, but others may not be.

I always like to start the day with the first dumb question!
Can anyone who buys an admission ticket walk around where all of the cars(especially the C2’s) are parked and look at them?I would like to see all of the cars, vendors and manufacturers in one place.I have a 67 but getting it there would be a huge undertaking from where I live.

I will certainly do that if I can get up there. My wife will be out of the country so I just might be able to make it.I just got my 5th Vette.A beautiful 67 convertible. I had a 66,67,71 and 73 between 1968 and 1973 when I was high school and college so it has been a while.

1 week to go; I'm cutting it close on my 63 but should bleed the brakes tonight and finish the new exhaust. I still need to align the rear end and finish work on the emergency brake cables plus button up the console/shifter area from having the transmission out.
Am I the only on cutting it close on projects or getting ready for Carlisle? -Dan

I don't know about any others, but make sure you shake her down well. You don't want to have a road side event on the way. Dennis

I see they are calling for rain every day. So disheartening.
Nothing worse than a 13 hour drive one- way with an SUV full of parts only to sit at the swap spot in the car because of the rain all day. Bleaahhh.

it's a week away. The weather changes daily get worried on Wednesday if the forecast didn't change
