What is the best place for replacement carpet for a 1963
What company has the best matching carpet for a 63 Coupe. There are a ton of companies and some look pretty cheap.

My opinion is that Al Knoch is the best in th business. For the last 40 years, they have been the first place I go to for soft parts.

I called ACC, and I contacted Al Knoch with attempts to find out which is a better product. After several conversations, I was told by an individual at Al Knoch, that they purchase their carpet from ACC.
I ended up ordering from Rock Auto. They sell the ACC at less than 1/2 the price of ordering directly through the manufacturer.
The carpet is scheduled to be delivered today. I'll be installing into our '63 convertible.

I just did my ‘63 carpet with ACC from Rock Auto and heat barrier from Frost King insulation purchased from Home Depot. ACC carpet was foam backed and fit perfectly. As ptjsk stated, the price is great. Also Rock offers floor mats at a great price that perfectly match the carpet. Insulation idea was a tip I got on this forum. Two rolls were about $50 bucks. It is self adhesive and easy to work with.

Never knew that Rock Auto had so many parts for our cars at great prices. They even have all the Gm service manuals, sales literature, in Paper, DVD or USB stick. Very impressed...Michael

Now today (as it was supposed to arrive), I get a notification from Rock Auto that they no longer have my product. WTH????
Guess I'll have to see about ordering it from another site.

Hey Don,
.
It was a gal that answered the phone. She said it probably wouldn't do me any good to talk to their "carpet buy" because he couldn't speak very good english.
When I asked about the quality, fit and durability of their carpet versus the competitors, she asked in comparison to who? I said for instance ACC? She replied that that's who we buy our carpeting material from.
Obviously, you disagree? Please expand on your statement as I now need to purchase carpet again.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but mine is a 63, and dark blue, so maybe it goes along with this. I'm about to get my convertable painted, and of course redo the interior after. My concern is with the fading, does anyone sell carpet that doesn't fade?

I drive it a lot, and only put the top up if I get caught in the rain. The carpet looked good 15 years ago and I've dyed it, painted it and still have faded carpet. Just thought there might be something out there that wouldn't fade.

I just looked it up. Make sure you have the vinal binding not cloth binding on exposed edges. They show cloth binding.

After I received the notice from Rock Auto stating that they no longer had my part (dark blue for '63 convertible) available, I went ahead and ordered from another vendor who advertised the product.
I paid an increased cost of what Rock Auto advertised. They charged my card, and I obtained a verification in my email account.
Unfortunately, I received a call from the vendor stating that they didn't have my product available, and they wanted me to choose a different color. Obviously, that wasn't going to work for me.
Once again, I'm on the hunt for carpet!
Has anybody ever tried carpets by Newark Auto?

Pretty sure that everyone's carpet comes from ACC. Knock my cut, mold and bind his own on some of the year, but the actual carpet comes from ACC. That is a huge manufacturing process that not many companies could actually manufacture.
