Yes, numerous '67 L71s were made in two locations, St. Louis and Houston.....

Turn 12!
Do they not know that 1965 was the best year. ;-)

Honest question. I've heard that Chevy did not document how many 427 C2's were made, now there are more C2 427 Vette's floating around that could have possibly been made. Any truth to this?

Honest question.
I've heard that Chevy did not document how many 427 C2's were made,
No, documentated RPO Data shows how many each of L36, L71, L89, and L88 were built. What it doesn't show is how many of each was for coupe or convertible.
now there are more C2 427 Vette's floating around that could have possibly been made. Any truth to this?
Yes and no...
Of the total bigblock cars made, of course over time many have been wrecked, scrapped, or still hidden away somewhere, or even some converted to smallblock, so there's no way of knowing the number still around.
Many smallblock cars have been "upgraded"(ka-ching) to bigblock over the years. Again, number unknown, but likely very many. Only the sharp eyed experienced observer can tell if a BB car is real or not, but not always.
This is why a BB car with NCRS validated Tank Sheet or Window Sticker, I.E. Ident# intact, with Warranty Book/POP, Dealer Invoice, etc will be most saught after. Those cars are the most difficult to acquire.... and the most expensive. IMO, a real Black/Blue interior L71/L89 is probably on the top price tier, of course excluding any real L88.

67 air coupe, powerglide, 390 horse. Very nice car. Owner was seeking $310 K. Somebody paid, I believe, $290 K.
There is, apparently, no shortage of people with large financial holdings that are willing to satisfy whims with obscene expenditures.

So that begs the question what would my dads car be worth 427/390 auto with Ac black on saddle. Has a NCRS regional top flight with Al Greening signing off on the stamp pad and trim tag but no real GM docs.
I talked with yesterday after the car sold and he made a comment where can I find a buyer for that price

he joked since he knows his bolt ons are repo and no real original red lines he would discount 90k off that 290k price. If that was a real price. But in all fairness it is a nice car even though we removed the 390 intake and made it a 400hp tri power car. Only because he always wanted one. But we still have all the parts we removed that would go with the car. We got a regional top flight and that is all we wanted

Well, I would say since you've ruined it with that tri-power conversion it probably no longer has any value. I would suggest you just ship it out to me for proper disposal, saving your Dad from any further embarrassment having to drive that thing.
