That a fair point, at least 10 of my previous Corvettes have been black and I do prefer that color.

But for some reason, I think the Amplify Orange suits this car better. I looked really hard at the car in black, and I didnt feel like it captures the lines at the max.

Ive always had a desire for an orange high performance car, anyway. Almost bought my Challenger in orange before I went with the crazy green. I really liked the high end exotics in colors like matte orange too; thought they fit. So, as I went down the C8 palette, this was actually the only color I really wanted.

I understand fully, while reds are usually my first go to color, I love orange too, especially on performance and sports cars. My first car was a Burnt Orange Metallic 71 El Camino, which is a similar shade of orange to both the 71-72 Corvette Ontario Orange (but with less flake) and to your Amplify Orange.

Good luck with it!

Oh, thats another interesting point. My first actual exposure to driving a Corvette was a’72 Ontario Orange I saw parked in front of a dealership in 1975. I couldnt swing that deal, but it was a prelude to a long love affair with these cars.

It’s only been a week or so, so it’s not a fair conclusion. But so far Im going to say the ‘63 does.

Seems that even though the C8s are not uncommon, a lot of people don’t know what it is. My neighbor walked over and asked if it was a Maserati.

It could be worse, with the misunderstanding...... one day I was out with our car and one of the neighbor kids rode by on his bike and said 'Cool Mustang!!!'..... to be fair, he was very young, and his Dad had a blue Mustang..... I chalked it up to him just thinking any blue car that looked cool was called a Mustang.... lol

Enjoy the new ride, along with the old one...... the best of both worlds....

A similar occurrence, when my wife was driving her 73 into the garage. A young boy on a bicycle shouted out:
"Is that a really old Lamborghini?"
I thought it was really funny that he would even know what a Lamborghini looked like.

Congratulations on the addition I guarantee you will love it more as you drive it more. My 2020 is my daily driver. The '64 is still reserved for special rides.
