Default Is this jack original (1963)

I don't know much about midyear jacks, and my JG is not handy. Is this original or repro?

Yes it is, its a type 3 jack which was Nov 1965 through to start of production 1967
I can't see but if there is a alphanumeric stamped into one of the legs like A7 then its 1967 jack
The only difference in type 3 jacks from Nov 1965- to production start 1967 and the 1967 jack was the date stamp

The only controversy I am aware of is AUSCO never used the + pr X peening on their rivets.
Rogers Harrison did, in the 1960s and they never made any jacks for C2s

At worse its a 60s Rogers Harrison Corvair Jack (RH) that was converted after a Corvette Jack collapsed.
At best its a repaired Ausco that someone peened over the rivets using the X or +

Wow, that's a lot of detail. Thank you! I do not see any other stampings on the legs. Regardless, I take it as not original to my 63 fuelie which is fine by me. Just wanted to know what I had.

NCRS seems to not care one way or the other. They do not concern themselves with the peen mark. So it would be treated as an original.Just not correct for a 63

Per John Z description - TYPE 1 has a metal bearing at the drive end of the screw. The U-shaped bracket at the anchor end with the nut is flipped outboard. Search Joe Ray 1963-67 Corvette jacks on CF for differences in TYPES 1, 2 and 3. Your jack appears to be later than TYPE 1. begee22

Not a 63 but certainly a very nice C2 jack.
