Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Since each truck was only taking one car, I would certainly have volunteered to drive any of the vettes.

Risk analysis based on better alternatives. By that I mean why gamble at all when you have means to transport on a trailer? If even two developed a problem while driving, that could derail the whole day, and my understanding is that these had to get out of the lot.

The whole collection was bought by someone I know. Unfortunately the previous owner passed last year and the family is selling off the assets and there was a lot, not just cars. Each car is being sold off individually. They haven’t been run or driven for many years, so trailering them was the safe bet. Most have had recent service done to them to get them running and general maintenance. I see one of the 67’s is on eBay now and it was one of my favorites.
