Per the replies and pics, yes it’s there beside driver side rear tire on the top of the frame.
I’ve had some success in the past of cleaning that area with a rag and cleaner. With the wheel off, you can get your fingers in there between the body and frame sometimes or use a putty knife with your cleaner soaked raged wrapped around it. Then take a piece of paper and pencil and angle it in there and try to get a stencil rub off it. Sometimes this works and produces a visual of the stamping.

nope I read it. And often times the stamping is very light and even after removing the body and striping the paint it's hard to read. If the frame has ever been painted with a thick paint your going to have trouble reading it

The VIN stamp is often extremely difficult to see with the body on the frame.
The VIN stamp is, also, often extremely difficult to see with the body off the frame.
Better??

I had a pic up in 2004 with the tire off and had cleaned the top frame rail with WD-40. Then taped a Mirror to the frame on an angle. The pic showed the Vin Upside down. That's what that old thread was about. I'll see later if I can find it. I think it might be in my Brownie Camera or my Polaroid Camera...

This is on a ‘63 frame. I also used the mirror technique and took backwards pictures, of my ‘58 VIN which was under the LH seat area.

I could not see mine because of the surface rust either. I posted here and found out where to look. A wire brush and I found them. I too was afraid of losing them to the sandblaster. They are faint, especially the rear ones but survived the sandblasting.
