Torque value for tail shaft mount bolts
I occasionally can look right at something and not see it. I'm looking for torque specs for the bolts holding the tailshaft to the cushion, and the cushion to the frame on my '64's M-20. I know they've GOT to be in the AIM but it's eluding me. Anybody have that handy?

Look in the front half of the AIM for the base 3 speed pages if it’s not in the M20 section under options

Does the 1964 AIM have a page D174? The back side of D173 is blank, and the next page is D175. Maybe it didn't get printed, and it's on there?

Torque specs
The torque specs you are looking for are located in the "Engine Rear Mounting" section. You are looking for section 6, page B6 in your AIM. I have a 1965 AIM and the torque specs for 65 are---Rear mount to tail housing is 35-55 foot pounds, and the rear mount to the frame bracket is 35-45 foot pounds. 1965, 66, & 67 all have the same torque values, so I would assume that 64 is the same.
RON
P.S. The nuts & bolts that hold the transmission mount bracket to the frame get torqued to 20-25 foot pounds---You torque the nuts--Not the bolts according to the AIM.

Fantastic, Ron, thank you very much! I'll admit I didn't go through that section page by page, because "engine" and "transmission" each had their own section and it's one and not the other. Oh well - that's just what I needed, much appreciated.

I've always found this chart to be handy when needing torque values. This chart describes them as "motor mount rear, to transmission" and "motor mount rear, to crossmember".
