[C2] how to install 63 turnsignal switch

Default how to install 63 turnsignal switch

question, I have a replacement turn siginal switch for my 63 but I do not see where the detent spring goes. the picture does not show it installed?

Anyone have a picture?

Found a photo in my archives and added notes. It clips over the barrels in the hub before the actuating ring is installed. Note there should be two "nubs" on the underside of the ring. I recall they are outboard of the flat spring so it assists when cancelled.

Default W shaped detent spring and roller position 63 corvette

Does the roller go to the outside of the W shaped detent spring or the inside ?

Used this older post because of the great photos that are directly applicable to my question.

First image shows the W shaped detent spring drawn in, and the roller positioned to the outside of the spring
Last photo shows the detent spring with grease on the inside, suggesting the roller goes to the inside
63 manual appears to show the roller positioned inside of the W shaped detent spring.
