Hey Doug,
It's nice you get those updates - you found a nice shop there.
Ya tough year for our teams - at least you didn't fire your coach. Thought the Ravens would get by the Chiefs, and was rooting for the Lions - so that was a tough second half to watch. Both championship games were played by great teams at a high level.

I've really enjoyed this thread! I love that you are both stewarding your car well, and making it so you can enjoy it. I can't wait to see it back together and on the road. Your face is going to hurt from smiling so much!

I will definitely attempt an in car video to end this drawn out thread..... Looks like April is a solid pickup date.

And thank you!

Thanks go out to Factoid and others for helping with this C5 Power Seat installation in a C2 Coupe:

That is pretty nice. Was that a ton of work? How did you graft your C2 seats onto the C5 seat track/control unit?
Factoid not only has beautiful cars, he seems to be mighty sharp.

Gary,

We do not want Factoid getting a "Big Head" but yes, he's got it going on, upstairs!!! He had a thread about a C5 Seat conversion that I picked up on, I bought a Non Memory motorized C5 seat base on Ebay, a Harness and Control. The module which I was not thinking I would need for the Up/Down Mode......I ended up needing it. The Guys up at Harbor Vettes figured everything else out. Those guys are GOOD, also. The two in the video (Brad the Owner, and Mark one of the best techs you will find) are relentless.

To answer your question: The C2 seats needed a base (Plate) fabricated for each side of the motor base which had 4(FOUR) bolts to attach the plates to. Then holes to align with the seat base were drilled in the fabricated plates. That's pretty much it! I have no Idea where they will attach the control. I'm sure it will be pretty cool, where every they put it...

I'll get about a 2" rise in the seat to exit the car.... I'm going up to Erie next week to get fitted. Because the C5 base is 1" higher than a C2 Base, the seat will sit that much higher at its lowest position. That is what we will check!

If I would stop adding jobs to this build.....they might get it done!! All on me!!!

Hey Doug -
That sounds pretty straightforward - for folks with lots of talent. .
The additions - subtractions if you count the radio - you've made have all been good for the car, and for you. I'd get the car just the way you want it while it's still there. Driving weather is still many weeks away.
