Default Best insurance?

Who has the best insurance for these classics? I looked at Hagerty’s, price was good, but the reviews I read weren’t very good at all regarding how they handle accidents. I know u can’t always go on reviews, that’s why I’m asking

My vote is for American Collectors Ins. I have been with them for more than 30 years and they have always been terrific.

For the exact same coverage as Haggerty I switched my 2 67’s and 62 to NCM insurance for half the premium price. They also gave me an agreed value coverage on my 2018 Z06 for a better price than Travelers.

I have NCM. It's supposed to be the best for old Corvettes.

From a rates and customer service standpoint...NCM hands down. Now, I've never had to use their claim service and I hope I never have to...so, can't speak to that aspect.

Another vote for NCM. IIRC you get a nice discount if you are a member of NCRS

In regards to claims with NCM, while passing under a bridge, a rock came down and hit the windshield of my 2017 Corvette. Made a claim which was handled by a NCM adjuster w/o any issues. I had read an article which stated that many aftermarket windshields that were specific for a heads-up display were inferior and to get a OEM windshield. I advised the adjuster and he said, "No problem" and they covered the $1000+ cost.

you gotta consider your requirements for insurance you may buy. most of these suggestions are for a classic, secondary car, where a primary car exists for all members of the family, always garaged, only used for pleasure and not commuting or running errands, with very low per year mileage limits.
anything outside these limitations you need to buy the expensive insurance that you use for your main car. if you read the fine print on some of these policies, you may not be covered if you crash your car while commuting to work.

most will cover you, but only in good faith.

Due to a deer strike I had a pretty major claim with NCM. Whole new front end. NCM handled smoothly without conflict or negotiations. As we discovered additional damage during disassembly, all adjustments handled without question. Price and service is/was exceptional. Larry

Thanks everyone, I am considering switching from State Farm to NCM. My wife started with State Farm so the car was insured when she surprised me with it.

We insure thousands of modified cars. I seem to recall you were looking for $75k on a modified C5, correct?
