Thanks for posting this but you need to run this by Duke Williams to make sure you are posting the latest version of his papers. The one on adjusting the valves is an older version that's been changed quite a bit. The latest version I found was dated 09-23-2008 which is quite a bit different especially when running the LT- 1 cam.

Thanks Philip.
Before I posted that I did run it by Duke. I try to never post anything without getting permission first. My academic background I guess.
If you have an updated version of one of Duke's papers it would be good to post or link to it.

Dave,
Thanks for all your hard work and effort contributing to this forum.
When I purchased my 65 convertible last year I found your works to be a saving grace when I had to tear into my doors and window tracks.
The tutorial was easy to follow and the attached photos were priceless.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
I really appreciate Dukes hard and fast teaching on this forum as well.
When I ask a silly question
he sounds like he’s my father correcting me.
I mean that in a good way too. We learn when we are taught up properly. His willingness to share and repeat are boundless.
The passion I have come to admire in the corvette community on this forum must be passed down to the yuts who will one day be the custodians of these timeless classics.
Thank you and may God bless each of you and your families.
Just a student with a wrench!

I can think of several valuable troves of information that would be worth archiving and making publicly available for current and future C1 and C2 owners:
1) Formal presentations that John made (I attended one such presentation, on the subject of the St. Louis Corvette factory and layout), that was more than two hours long and contained seemingly hundreds of photos and diagrams).
2) John's extensive library of vintage photos from the St. Louis and Flint factories.
3) Informative posts that appeared on CF and the NCRS TDB.
4) The series of tech articles that John wrote for Corvette Enthusiast magazine.
Regarding item 4 (the tech articles in Corvette Enthusiast Magazine), that magazine was published for only a few years, but I believe every single issue had a short tech article written by John. I THINK that I may have a complete stack of every issue of Corvette Enthusiast Magazine that was ever published). I'm not sure about how to handle copyright issues associated with posting John's' Corvette Enthusiast articles on the web, but I bet that could be worked out.

Thank you Dave! I'll be keeping a copy of Duke's wisdom on my desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, left forearm and under my hat. Glad this thread popped up again today.
