if memory serves me there is a casting embossed on the back side but I am not sure if its close to the gm part number

Which year C2? Automatic or manual? Power windows or not? If memory serves, '64 - '67 console trim plates are the same for each purpose. Manual trans without power windows #3897484, manual trans with power windows #3897485, automatic trans without power windows #3897486 and automatic trans with power windows #3897487
