58 trunk lid unique features
I saw an used but original 1958 trunk lid at Pigeon Forge this past weekend. Someone had filled the holes at some point.
I was able to get some pictures of the inside of the trunk lid, where the unique features are obvious.
There are two rows of three "small round level level fiberglass platforms" where the chrome trunk spears come through the lid. Each end of the trunk spear has a separate style opening.

I'm not sure if you had a question, but to add to your data, I sold this 58 trunk lid at Fall 2021 Carlisle. You can see the bosses for washers and nuts similar to what you show in your pics.
