Back in 1970 I was living/serving in Hawaii and bought my first Corvette...a 1959. I'm 6' 5". Owned the car for about a year. Never had the top up and had a ball with that car. Of course, I looked like Magnum in his Ferrari 308...looking over the windshield when driving. I was 21 years old then...wouldn't even consider a C1 today.

I’m 6’4” and 220. This is the wife and I in our ‘61 with custom seats from Al. It was like putting on a cheap suit. It was a beautiful car, but I ended up selling it as it cramped my style, my size style that is.

I'm 6' and barely fit in my 64 conv with enough room to feel comfortable. I have the seat all of the way back and a shortened steering shaft with a 14-inch wheel. I think these cars are for driving and if you are uncomfortable then it will not be a pleasure to drive. Some cars are just not the right fit for some people so maybe you should look at a later model. It makes you wonder who GM used as their seating model.

C2 of Year Finalist (track prepared) 2019
All this talk reminds me of an anecdote which won't help the OP at all but is peripherally related and slightly humorous.
The year is 1998. I've inherited my Dad's two Corvettes, one of which is an unrestored '54. The cars are in Georgia and I needed to get them to California. I decided they would get to the left coast under their own power(!).
I was helped by my son, who had just graduated from high school and by two friends, John and Darrell, from the Northern CA NCRS club.
We had two way radios in each car.
During the first day on the road, Darrell was driving the '54. Although Darrell was not an excessively large individual, the canvas soft top of the '54 had a distinct "Gurney Bump" (look it up) where Darrell's head was.
He got on the two-way radio and dryly noted, "These cars weren't meant to be driven with the top up!"
