WCFB Carb

WCFB Carb
Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on a couple of WCFB carburetors I have, one was on my 1965 Corvette when I bought it in 1972, the other I purchased in 1974 from my local NAPA store. Both have the following numbers Air horn #6-1672 carb body # 0-1241, throttle base plate #1579. I think the Air horn number and the base plate #1579 are correct for 65 Corvettes with 250 hp 327. The carb body # 0-1241 seems to be incorrect for the 65's.Both carbs have been restored, re-plated for modern fuels, one has been on my Corvette for about 2000 miles over the past several years, the other is still in new condition, never been put on a car. Any info anyone could share would be appreciated.

WCFB was used on the base 327/250 HP engine from '62 to '65. The 327/300 became base in '66 but with a Holley rather than the AFB used from '62 -'65. It appears that GM and Carter had a falling out. Some of you may remember the late Dale Pearman. He was a big '62 and AFB guy with a great sense of humor. He always referred to Holleys as a "packaged leak."

Is there a book or manual that lists the application/numbers each year should have. My old JRM only shows carb tags.
This gives me the incentive to get the numbers off mine. Tag says 2669 but I know it's a later application. Thx

Thank you RB. Looks like I have a 1964 main body and top. I'm not able to check for a number if any on the lower front base in front of the choke if that means anything. I'm going to advertise it for sale probably on the DB Classifieds and want to be accurate to what it is.
