Had another thread on my belts and pullies… it was pointed out the the alternator bracket was located incorrectly, which I knew, but it was the only way the bracket e we pile fit without binding…

the alternator bracket would not fit on the backside of the alternator ear….

Bought a new bracket from Paragon, and it fits!

the “old” bracket had a few bends that the new one doesn’t have…

This is with the lower holes lined up. “Correct” bracket is an inch longer…

MUCH better!!! More room for tensioning the belt, as well.

This is what I was talking about in your other thread about the brackets changing things. It doesn’t take much to make a difference and sometimes the RIGHT factory brackets even need a tweak or a washer for a shim.

yeah,

I was worried my $30 new bracket would just be the same as what I already had…. I was pretty happy when I saw it was straight and not kinked…

You can still play music from your phone, just get one of these (several models available from Amazon) and tune it and your radio to a quiet band. It also allows you to have handsfree calling,

Exactly what do you call this thing when you search Amazon? It just looks like a simple charger--but I can see that it has a radio freq.
