Default New Big Block from Chevy

Probably overkill for a C2 (if it would even fit), But........

Looks like the horsepower wars are alive and well.....

Wonder if, after production begins.... they reduce the sticker on the air cleaner to 950????

You know...... for insurance reasons....... LOL

But it's only got 600 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpms?
Good lord.

Yeah, that's pitiful. My Cummins makes 600 ft-lbs at 1500 rpm.

Saw this on another site......

"Unlike some of its other high-performance crate engine offerings, GM isn't placing a cap on ZZ632 production, and, in even better news for speed freaks, the engines will be kept in stock rather than being built to order. We don't have pricing yet for this monster of an engine, but we suspect it will land somewhere north of the approximately $16,300 that is being charged for the ZZ572."

Gotta like the 'will be kept in stock' part......

very interesting.. they compare it to the hellephant, a 426 ci supercharged mopar motor. Pretty impressive that they got 1k hp out of a naturally aspirated motor... though I guess at 632 CI, it shouldn't be much surprise.

wonder how much boost it would take :-)

Swinging an Old School big block at 632 inches 7,000 RPM is pretty incredible. 1000 HP, heck everyone needs that.
