Pure Stock Muscle Car Results
I thought this would be pretty interesting, especially for C-2 and C-3 owners:

The race is every September for those who are not familiar with it. You can do whatever you want to your car regarding blueprinting, etc., but they say they will tear you down if your car seems too fast. Also, 11.5 is as fast as you can go (as of 2013), and with belted tires...well...
Not a bad showing for Corvette hobbyists...
Cheers!

I've been racing at the PSMCDR event for 22 years now. For the last 14 years I've running my '66 Chevy II there.
It's an L79, 4 speed car and not much else, a true stripper. I'm almost always the lightest car there. Best I've run has been a 12.915 @ 108.52. It used to be #4 on the all time fastest small block, 4 speed car list but I see I've moved back to #9. We had 124 cars this year and the weather was perfect but the track prep left a little to be desired. Still the most fun you can have in your car with your clothes on! There were a bunch of Corvette this year, a few I'd never seen before. Good to have Donny back in his.

I have a long term project of unlocking the true fastest, just as I took every Corvette engine from 1963 to 1977 about and put them in the order of what should be beat what. The Pure Street Drags does have rule variations, that make them faster than back in the day stock. I love this competition, and have followed since the beginning.
My list will eliminate the ringers. Example seems like every Pontiac tested car was, sourced from Royal Bobcat. I am also shocked that Baldwin Motion actually published very few tested cars, reverting to their track glory, and claims. Ford has a poor showing on the list, seems like the track cars were what they wanted published to sell on Monday. Funny how the 1970 LT-1 Stock Corvette is my 14 flat, 100 mph car. Naturally you want a favorite to be faster, but nope. This car is the dividing line between the dominate big block cars, and the rest of the performance small blocks.
Many American classics are left out of being mentioned, insert- Pantera, Avanti, Vector, Mosler, Saleen S7, etc.
Fun stuff.

At the speeds those cars are running there is no way they are stock. The camshafts might be measured for lift on an inspection so they stay with stock lift but the lobes are custom ground to the best duration possible to go faster. Some of the tricks I have seen are off the charts creative but slip within the rules. The cars have to meet OEM weight but the racers move the weight for better launch. I have seen lead filled rear bumpers to offset the weight removed from the front of the car. There are thousands of tricks and many are very hard to catch.,
Donny is certainly representing his 1966 very well.

Nice of the OP to post but these results mean nothing to me with a limit on the e.t. allowed.
My interested in drag racing is limited to heads up no limit let the best car/driver win. Bracket racing is a joke with people simply trying to hit a particular e.t. by getting on the brakes at the end of the 1/4 with a car that has a much faster ability. What is the sense in that?
